and
Germany and Britain and Japan.
Onward and forward, the unity goes,
a
family of friends and former foes.
Never, in all of
history,
have we bound together so tight,
thwarting tyranny's
power
with the brilliance of freedom's light.
Wounded yet strong - we ascend
sad yet determined
- we climb
struck yet valiant - we emerge
a galvanized world in
time.
Now, from nation to nation,
stirred and awakened, we
hear
a clarion call for healing,
resounding loud and clear.
Up from the ashes - we come
up from the pain - we
rise
up from the fear - we surge
one voice, of magnificent
size.
Remember, for all eternity,
the unity forged this
day.
Let the loss of life be a flame,
forever lighting our
way.
